The Bow Configuration Tab allows you to
calibrate Archer's Advantage to the actual performance of your bow for
optimal Shaft Selection results. You can select a specific
Manufacturer & Bow Model from a growing database, or select a Generic
Bow Type.
In either case, optimum results are obtained
when you calibrate the Bow Model by entering an actual Chronograph Speed
in the Current Arrow Speed Box. If Archer's Advantage knows how
heavy an arrow you are shooting & how fast the arrow is coming out of
your bow, it doesn't matter if the Manufacturer's Specs are not accurate
or your Bow Scale is off by several pounds.
The Shaft Selector bases its recommendations
on the amount of energy the bow delivers to a shaft. By
calibrating the Bow Model to a known Arrow Weight & Arrow Speed, the
Shaft Selector can provide you with the optimum set of shaft
recommendations.
